Sijo (Alt no. 1)

I like to remix poems. Some of my best work is on Dada Yow's website. A year or so ago I translated some poetry with Jina's help. Here is a remix of one of them.

Sijo

translated from Korean

First is

the sun strikes Crown Rock

mist lift leaving painted fields: far and

near alive

the pine wine-jar

I set for friends among the greens,

they seem to approach when I watch

the remix (alt No. 1):

already the sun strikes

mist lifts over make-up

near alive

stirring the wine-jar

i dive into friends in the bush

they seem to come when I watch
